The Audi has a longitudinally (crank parallel to car) mounted
engine, same as all Audi's and Dasher/Quantum/Fox/Passat VW's. They are all
front (or all-) wheel drive.
The turbo is a 5-cylinder (look again, count plug wires) that
will be too wide when turned sideways to stuff into your Scirocco, without a
serious lot of fabrication.
Less difficult, but still custom-intensive, would be
to modify the exhaust manifold, removing the 5th collector, and adapting
your car to use the turbo. You would also want the associated fuel injection
bits to feed the beast.
