(semi-non) Steering Rack

Hey all!

I am in the need of replacing my steering rack.  Since I have rebuilt a few
power racks, I figured it should be a breeze to do a manual rack and plan on
getting a used rack and rebuilding it.  That said, I need the rack for my 77
Rabbit and was wondering if one out of a 84-85 Scirocco will work?  I am
also curious if an A2 rack would work?  Please let me know.  TIA!!
