Me too!! - what's going on - public holidays around the globe?

btw - the long awaited package from Autotech containing the .75 5th gear
conversion kit (along with some other goodies) arrived yesterday and  I intend
to fit it out his Saturday.  I have read the instructions that come with it -
they are right - it's crap !! - I have also read the instructions in
driversfound.com tech tips.

One question, - In removing the 12pt main shaft bolt I will have to keep the
main shaft from turning and that can be done in two ways - 1) by pressing the
brakes or 2) a very complicated method of engaging the tranny in 5th and
reverse. - Since I intend to work with the tranny in the car with my mechanic -
I will use the brake method - but I am puzzled how pressing on the brakes will
stop the main shaft in the tranny from turning.......?

Any other tips from those of you who have installed the kit would also be most
welcome.
