Re: A2 Downpipe in A1 Chassis




You could TRY swapping in the downpipe, but you'll have some trouble
hooking it up to a manifold in the A1 chassis... :)  The A2 manifolds
outlet left of centre of the head, while the A1 manifolds exit centre.  
The A2 exhaust travels between the subframe and the car without the sharp
bend that the A1 exhaust makes as it comes down to the tunnel.

The solution is an A1 dual outlet manifold and a TT downpipe, which will
mate up just fine to the A2 GTI head.
