Re: Cold Start Problems
Compusuck deleted all your other messages for me related to what you did
before to solve this, so I'll guess that you've checked the fuel system over
and adjusted/replaced any components as needed, and made reasonably sure that
there are no vacuum leaks. I'll also assume you have a battery in decent
shape.
After all that, I would go after the electrical connections to the cold
start valve, auxilliary air regulator, control pressure regulator,
thermo-time switch and fuel pump. Then check the existing grounds from the
engine and the battery cables. Make sure they're corrosion-free, cleaning
with contact cleaner and then covered with dielectric grease to protect the
connections. Check the battery cables with a multi-meter for excessive
resistance (corrosion) and relpace with a larger gauge if needed, also take
this chance to install an additional ground from the block as was previoulsy
suggeted.
Now, if I haven't repeated anything you've done (I'll check the archive
tonight), HTH.
