removing A/C components under dash

How do you get them out?  I figured now would be a good time since I am 
replacing the heater blower.

I realize they are inside the black box, but I can't get it open.

I got off most of the clips that hold the two halves of the big black box 
together, but there is one that I cant get to on top.  Do you have to pull 
the whole box?  I'm trying to avoid disconnecting the heater core lines if I 
can.
