RE: [OT] 96 Jetta MY ALARM! HELP!

It is always on. Today, I unlocked it, got in it drove it to work. When
I shut it off, the horn beeped to let me know it was armed. I was still
inside the car! I opened the door and it went off. I got out, closed the
door, locked it, and unlocked it, and that made it stop, BUT it was
still armed. If I tried to open the door, it goes off again. Basically
It's ALWAYS armed. It is a keylock alarm, meaning it sets the alarm
every time you lock the doors with the key.

Hmm, I never got the original post to this thread.  Why can't you disarm
the alarm?
