RE: Exhaust Leak
Well I had that problem a few weeks, ago... How long ago have you changed your downpipe metallic donnut that fit's between your manifold and downpipe joint ? they wear out and slide out of place making a rather "noisy" result, the other place where I found mine worked itself also was the clamps/gasket at the end of the downpipe near the catylitic converter.

Subject: Exhaust Leak
I have an exhaust leak that is definitely coming from up front. Sounds
like the downpipe, but I am not sure as I haven't climbed under the car
yet to check it out. Is there a common place up front on an 85 8v for a
leak to start. I have heard people talk about a flex joint going on some
of these cars, but I think that is a 16v thing. Also if there is a leak
on the actual downpipe, is it worth fixing/can it be fixed or should I
just replace it with a new one? Any information is greatly appreciated.
Thanks,
Chris
