Greg,
This sounds like a contender for the twin project. Is there any body damage
at all? (other than the hole in the door, specifically wondering condition
of upper+lower radiator supports). What tranny code is in it? Email me some
jpgs, please. If everything looks good, I could easily pick it up around
jan/feb timeframe.

I may be willing to part with my '84 Scirocco, as I've run out of time to
put love into her.  Here's the basic facts, please email me off list if you
want to know more / make an offer:

'84 1.8 5-Speed
164,xxx miles
Gray
Body in nice condition, very solid
Mono Wiper
Back windows and Rear window are tinted
Tarantual rims with good condition GoodYea Aquatread Tires
Blaupunkt AM/FM CD head unit included, but I'm keeping my Boston Acoustic
speakers :-)

What I've put in her:
-New Radiator
-New Front Struts
-New Passengers side CV
-Drivers side brake line was replaced
All this stuff is OEM, not performance

What I know she needs:
-Contral Arm Bushings (included are new Control Arms and bushings from
Potterman, I just havent put them in)
-There is also a bit of play in the steering - havent located the exact
problem, it may be the rack (manual steering). However, I drive this thing
every day and it passed MO inspection.
-The AC is non functional - I  have an extra condensor I'll throw in, there
is no belt driving the compressor right now.
-The sunroof is not the original one, although it is a VW roof.  It opens
1/2 way, but closes tight and does not leak.  I have the original roof
still, but the tilt/slide hardware is a bit messed up.  I have many extra
sunroof parts though that I'll throw in.
-Drivers side door lock is semi functional (means sometimes it will lock
with the key, sometimes it wont).  Needs to be replaced.  There is also a
small hole below the outside lock mechanism where a breakin occurred some
years ago, before I owned the car.

Interior:
Dash and all the plastic is in good shape, no cracking.  Door panels are in
good shape.  Seats have the usual problems - torn bolsters on drivers,
drivers seat also does not tilt forward (metal cable is busted).  Rear seats
are fine, just fading.  Rear deck cover has holes cut in it for 6x9
speakers.  Headliner is solid, no tears, not sagging.

That's all I can think of right now.  Location is St. Louis, MO.  I can
email you some .jpgs if you'd like.  The bare minimum I'm wanting for the
car is $1200 - hopefully more.  If I donšt get enough money I'm just going
to keep her, so serious inquiries only.
