By no means am I a nitrous expert, but if I were to run nitrous on any car
(especially a CIS VW) I would do a wet setup. i.e. fuel is also supplied by
the nitrous system, as opposed to a dry setup where nitrous is sprayed in
alone, and you are to rely on the fuel system for metering the rest of the
fuel. If you want to have a little fun, I would setup a 70-80hp sized shot
with the proper fuel solenoids and see what she can do :)
I'm not sure I would venture over a small shot, but that's just me. If you
keep the shot size low and assist it with fuel to keep it from leaning out,
I think you'll be okay. You might also have to retard timing a few degrees.
