Do we like Fox engines?

My local vw shop has three Fox engines, complete with manifolds, waterpumps,
alternators, etc, that they have had in storage, one of the owners likes me,
knows about my poor 'rocco, and has offer me my choice of the three for 100
bucks.  Basically this is a solid engine, right?

If I throw on the JH head that I have coming, the Fox's TB and Intake
manifold, my exhaust manifold, and a G-grind, I've got a nice little
package, right?  And with the lower compression 8.5 vs 10, when I decide to
turbo it (oh it will happen) I can still use CIS, rather than standalone
management.  Right?

BTW, they have an 86 Jetta engine, which he wants 150 for.  Notice this is
NOT the GLI engine, its the exact same as the Fox's.  Hehehe...he doesn't
know that is just a swap of the intake manifold...I'm not gonna tell him.
