mk1monowiper conversion for '85 Roc & bodywork

I am thinking about switching to the mono wiper set up
on my 85 Scirocco. The passenger side wiper appears to
be centered already. I know someone has done this, for
I have seen the pictures. Would this involve putting
an MK1 wiper motor in there for a broader range of
motion?


I just bought my first house with a 2.5 car garage.
Time for the dream projects to become real. Any info
on a web site with detailed coverage of a roughed up
Scirocco worked up to mint condition would be helpful
because both cars have rust, and are in need of a
similar process of transformation. The 87 has little
patches here and there, which I think I can deal with.
The 85 continues to defy death in an almost
Christine-like fashion, but it has some serious rust
problems around the wheel wells and the driver side
wiper mounting area, hence the above question about
the mono wiper setup.

Thanks for any helpful advice on these matters.
