Re: What starter to use with 11:1 compression?

Your best bet is to look for an A2 diesel starter, as it has a built-in
reduction gear.  A1 diesel starters are beefier, with larger windings, but
they lack the reduction gear.  The A2 starter will bolt up fine to the A1
transmission.
