Re: Bad Monday Morning, or Blown Head Gasket?
I saw this exact same thing happen to a friends Rabbit.
High morning oil pressure just blew the oil filter down a thread. You
could screw it back up, but if you started it, it would blow it back
down a thread again.
Try a new oil filter first.
