I know that the Wolfsburg 84 Scirocco uses different pads than
non-Wolfsburgs models both with vented rotors.
Apparently, VW's first pass at vented rotors just went to a thinner pad so
they could use the same caliper with the wider vented disc. Later they
changed the caliper to accomodate a thicker pad. They look the same and fit
the same, one is just thicker.Don't know the VIN changeout and ETKA gives me
no clue for non-Wolfsburg 84 Sciroccos.
