  i would say it would have to do with whom the host of the show is. :) 
too much resistance somewhere'd be my guess. perhaps the pounding bass
(trout, walleye...) let the amp spin off the power it was generating and
the lack of the bass caused your amp to overheat (unless you were
broadcasting to the whole neighbourhood). makes me wonder why a/the fuse
didn't blow. hmmm.
