3M also makes a decal removal product that would work on the tint itself.
It causes it to loosen and bubble.  It can then be removed with a dull
plastic scraper.  I used it to remove the stripes off a MKI Scirocco and
then the adhesive remover to remove the glue.  The stuff is a little pricey,
but it definitely saves some work.
