1.8L Rabbit Engine into an 81 Scirocco?

Would a 1.8L engine from a Rabbit directly bolt-in to an MK1 Scirocco? No 
cutting or welding required? Are there any other engines that would 
dritectly bolt-in to an MK1 Scirocco? Thank You.
