Installed by a PO without a doubt. I've never seen one
of those aftermarket things on a Scirocco 1. They were
really popular in the 70's for some reason . . .

Alas, I am embarrassed to say that I failed to save my
1st Scirocco, a '75. It did give me 7 great years
before a Camaro ended it's run in 1984 . . .
