Leather interior found

Hey all.
While out today, I stopped by a local salvage yard I'd never been to,
just for shits and giggles.  Asked if they had a Scirocco, and to my
suprise, they did!  I got to go look at it, and turns out it's a 1982,
momo wiper still there, all stock, sunroof, good back deck (black), and
black leather.  The leather is in pretty good condition, the drivers
seat has normal wear on the seat, and there is a rip at a seam on the
back, but other than that, it's in pretty good shape.  I asked the lady
what they wanted for the seats, and she said $35 a piece.  My question
is, how much would repairing a split seam cost, and how do I get the
seats out?  I'm seriously thinking of going back next weekend and
getting the seats.  A little cleaning and some TLC, and they'd be nice
seats.
