Last night I was out about 11 pm (SF Bay Area) and came off one med.
street onto a major boulevard. Trying to not speed to much I was intent
on getting were I was going. A peek in the rear view saw the lights
waaay back but coming fast so I signal and pull over to the curb (kept
rolling 3 mph). The cars in my pack didn't even notice until the cop has
to slow down on the their bumper. :)
I get back up to speed after he passes by, only to connect up with a
fire truck (non fire related call, hmmmm) right at the next major blvd.
to blvd. intersection. Cops all over, swarming. Hmmm.
Turn onto blvd #2 and mosey slowly because tensions are high, turn into
the nneigborhood to avoid 'brushing teeth & driving at the same time'
(on the way to GF's house, natch), pull back out for a one block run and
get a tail from a black n' white. (I can just see his train of though;
"We have a white sedan pulled over across the street, and _this_here_
White Jetta matches the description too, and why did he just go one
block....". Whip a short U-ey as I notice him pulling around the corner
on my tail (but acting like I don't notice it's a cop) and park, jump
out and proceed like the normal citizen I am. <whew> Cop pulls his own
u-turn and returns to the prowl.
Another job well done avoiding the "You look like someone who has been
seen in the area..." routine.

Think, If I had only been driving the Roc, I would not have been
profiled. :)
