No, Redline is a company name. MTL is a product of said company.

MTL is also known as MTL 75-80W because that is it's viscosity, although it 
is simply printed "MTL" on the bottle.

MT-90 is Redline's oil that has a 75-90W viscosity rating.

All literature I've seen says that the O2O tranny (like in all Scirocco's) 
uses the MTL only.

The O2A tranny (like in VR6's and G60's) uses MT-90

They cost the same, so get the MTL.
