Sounds like your linkage may be worn/misaligned..
especially the part about not going into 1st.
Are you using redline MTL in your tranny? I had the
exact same 2nd gear problem, and Redline kinda cleared
it up, it is still a lil crunchy, but not too bad.
The only real fix is to get your tranny professionally
rebuilt ($$$$)
