Have her call a good Car Audio shop.  Thats what I did for my 200 Golf.
Turned out that a Panasonic 8-Disc was compatable, but I had to also buy a
little "box" that converted the VW wiring over to the Panasonic connector.
Still was cheaper than what the dealer wanted for a 6-disc!
