Abd Short shift kits? any good?

Anybody here have tried the Abd power shifter. all it is, is just a 
replacement of rods and linkages. i saw it at carparts.com for 34.95 just 
wondering if it would be any better than my home made one? I drilled a hole 
on the lever on the tranny to reduce the throw. anybody know any 
disadvantages or advantages to this? My scirocco is getting more fun 
everyday. hehe...
