Re: Can't we all just get along? I was only trying to help.
This is a letter I received from a guy requesting a 16v transmission. To
help a fellow veedubber, I offer the info on the less expensive 4K and
2H. This is the e-mail I got in response and my response to it. (I've
removed his name)

Hmm. I wonder how my little 2H has stood up to 160 hp when the AGB's flew
apart?

You sure sounded like a professional.

Again I must wonder how my car can manage 135 mph without a 5th gear
swap.

What kind of top speed are you looking for? As I eluded to above, WE can
prove that the 2H will attain a speed considerably higher than 100 mph.

Why? Do you drive around in 4th? It would seem to me that a person so
concerned about top speed wouldn't give a damn about gas mileage.

I would have thought a "god damn vw factory trained tech" would know that
the same type of rivets were NOT used in the transmissions over the
years.
I do wish you luck, and hope that you find the perfect balance for your
car.

Good, bad...I'm the guy with the gun.
