Non-Roc: 8mm silicone plug wires on a VR6?

Sorry to go way off-topic here, but I'm desperate.

How do you "tie down" 8mm silicone plug wires on a VR6? They're too fat to
fit into the plastic channels on top of the head.  No instructions were
included with these Eurosport plug wires and I resorted to nylon ties as a
temporary solution to keep the wires from flopping around.

Argh!
