Interesting -- Over the past 3 years, my average with the PL 1.8 16v is
30MPG, or 7.9 l/100. Not bad indeed, considering according to the EPA,
Scirocco 16V should get 23 city, 28 highway.

Well, isn't the PL in the Cabrio? Or are they both in regular Sciroccos?

The other thing to consider is the tune of the engine. 0.2l/100 on two
different cars isn't a big enough difference to say broadly that "the PL
uses more gas than the KR".

All of us here have compared fuel economy on our cars, and we get widely
different measures. Like I said, I average 30mpg, but Daun gets closer to
27, right? The range is 24-32, which is a big difference. A lot of it is
how the car is driven, but how well the car is running (and what the
mixture is set at) is a huge factor.

Nevertheless, danke fuer die Information Dirk. Ich persoenlich finde's
cool, dass der 16v-motor weniger verbraucht, als der 8-Ventiler. Heil
Technik! :)
