there was a rumour a while ago that many of the supposedly 150bhp variants 
of passats were in fact coming out of the factory with considerably more 
power - perhaps someone got the ECUs mixed-up! I can't remember if it is 170 
or 190bhp you can squeeze out of a straight chip upgrade before you have to 
go for the better intercooler but it was certainly somewhere around those 
figures that these 'rogue' car were supposed to be doing.
