Re: Dumb Question



Originally a British thing, MK is short for Mark, as in revision number.

Instead of Type 53 and 53b (German way) the English have Mk1's and Mk2's

Confusingly, both Scirocco's are derived from the same basic unibody, the A1
chassis. There are no A2 Sciroccos, this was renamed Corrado. There is yet
to be produced a dedicated sports car from the A3 or A4 platforms. Speculate
away...

This does not deter our British friends from referring to A1 Golfs (Rabbits
here) as MK1's whilst calling A2 Golfs (Golfs here) MK2's.
