Sorry for the trouble, but VERIZON as an ISP sucks (more below). The
location of the pics have changed to

 Lime Green 79

http://4.35.245.62/ (for how much longer... who knows...)

P.S.

Maybe some of you might now a trick or two. Here is my dilema... I
have DSL with a dynamic IP & I want to host files on my machine but I
have ran into a few probs. First, I can't get a static IP without
paying mucho more (switches from residential to business) & I want to
try to be able to hold onto my IP. I already leave my puter on 24/7 but
just this morning, less than 1 hour after my IP was renewed (24hour
lease, renewed at 24hours), I lost internet connectivity. Leases used
to be a 5 day, renewed at 50%, but since Verizon bought GTE they went to
24 hour lease, renewed at 50% time up, to 24 hour lease, renewed at 24
hours!!... BASTARDS!!! Lines were down for a while, and I lost the IP I
had for quite a long time....

Anyways, my roommate, who could see me on our network still had access
to the net, so I knew something was fishy. I rebooted and I got a
different IP than the one I had for the past few days. I should have
received the same one as before!! (same DHCP server to) Anyways, just
wondering if anyone knows of any sorts of tricks that I can do to assure
a constant IP while not purchasing a static IP?

If you are going to suggest that I manually input all the data,
gateway, mask, IP & such... I tried that and it works for a while until
the DHCP server hands out that address I am using to someone else. Any
ideas are appreciated... except those people telling me to go buy a
static IP!  =p
