Re: fuel problem
well, what i thought was a clogged cat was actually the head gasket...i did end up gutting the cat but i got just about all the innards out before i reconnected the rest of the exhaust system...
it was suggested that the smoking is just the new gasket that i put on burning in...i'm hoping this is the case...
i think the fuel problem is timing related, so i'm going to play with that tomorrow on my day off and see what happens...

Refresh my memory... Didn't you have a bad cat?
Maybe the muffler got clogged from cat debris...
If the cat is broken up, the muffler usually catches all the stuff that
blows downstream.
That would explain the leak at the flange, and the starvation symptom.
There is a gauge that you hook up where the O2 sensor goes, and it will
tell you if the exhaust is clogged.
