Lightened flywheels?

Does lightening your flywheel actually give you more hp?  As I'm 
typing this, I think the answer is "yes" because there's just less 
there that has to be spun, but what other advantages does it have?

After Buffalo Dyno Day, I'm plotting out my winter's unrestrained 
spending on the car, and I think a Euro cam is in my future.
