I think you'll note in Ben's note that he actually calls him an
'arrogant and belligerant kid' also.

I am not talking shit about him, just remembering him the way he
actually came across on the net.  I actually met him several times, and he
was much different in person compared to the annoying arrogance he displayed
on this mailing list and in the VW newsgroup.  I'm not some sort of heartless
slug, I'm not pleased by what's happened to Chris by any means.  My
comment above about this being real life was meant for people to think
that no matter how arrogant or self assured you are, bad things can
still happen.  You are not always going to be in control of the situation.
Perhaps I should have been more clear.

Forward this to Ben too if you would.   I can't imagine what it would be
like to lose my best friend at such an age, and I am sorry to hear about
this.
