Nah, nothing that amusing, read on for the sad, annoying tale.
7am Sunday, I'm awake, showered, ready to get over to the car wash to
scrape the dust of the USA off my ride, when I notice that it's sitting a
bit strange. I walk around to the driver's side, and notice that some
assmunch has slashed BOTH tires on that side of the car. Oh, I was pissed
(to put it mildly.)
So, I spent half an hour frantically calling around for 2 new tires, found
them, but no place opened until 9am. By the time I got the problem
solved, it was 11am, and I was not in a good mood at all, so rather than
walk around the show with a dark cloud, I stayed in San Jose.
Yes, I did call the local PD on it, and it turns out that I wasn't alone -
they had 9 reports of the same crap in a 4 block area. Luckily for them,
I'd thought ahead, and snapped a couple pics of the car, with it's slashed
tires (which I delivered to them later in the afternoon).
So yep, I'm STILL miffed about missing the show, hanging out here with the
friends I'm staying with, and lazing around the pool the rest of the day
only got me sunburned (blisters, too!), but I suppose it could have been a
whole lot worse.
When I get back to Atlanta, I'll be putting up a page on my roadtrip,
complete with pics, so no laughing at my lack-o-html-skills, I run
routers, not web pages. :-)
Cheers, and it was awesome to meet y'all.
-Pat
