year long drivability prob finally fixed!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

About a year ago I started encountering an intermitant buck when 
accerlating at freeway speeds in my '81 S. The sudden jerk was 
accompanied by black smoke out the tail pipe and low power. I had 
checked out everything, hall effect, coil, plug wires, fuel filter, 
system and control pressures, fuel volumes, DIS....finally about 2 
weeks ago I checked the in tank filter and found loads of aluminum 
and brass sitting the pick up baffling as the pump was apparently 
going bad ;)  Flushed the tank, replaced the pump and fuel filter 
and I'm back down the road with one less headache gone!
