Are you talking about the gauge or the sender? I don't think there is an
associated resistance value for the gauge.

The sender acts like a pot, but it is voltage that is sent to the gauge,
not resistance. I believe that varies from 0-12V.

If you are planning on putting in a custom fuel gauge in your MadMax,
then I would think that you could use the same wires that come from the
stock fuel sender. Make sure that the gauge is designed for +12 systems.
If you are putting in a fuel cell, then your stock gauge should still
work fine, just make sure that the sender varies voltage linearly
between 0-12v as the fuel lever varies linearly from empty to full.

I _think_ that's how it works. Check wiring diagrams to make sure.
