Former GTI man Saved From Buying a Honda

Scary one...  One of my best friends who currently owns an 88 GTI has 
seriously contemplating getting a 97 Accord...

He's getting an older Audi V8 Quattro now instead... bastard, I wanted that 
one!

I don't understand what drives people to want to get hondas!  they have no 
character!  His response was "Reliability and performance"...

Hondas feel like they're made of plastic and handle like toys!

I mean Honda motocycles are OK if not on the borish side...  I mean even 
when the Fireblade was a top bike it was still kinda booring...   I mean 
kinda like that kid that kicked ass in Math... Impressive accomplishmnent 
but loose the pocket protector...

I mean VW had the beetle... not even the Nazi's could tarnish that car's 
image of reliable German engineering...

The European brands go without saying... Jaguar, Alfa, BMW, Mercedes, 
Austin, MG... On a side note, it's impressive how many famous Marquis 
Britain had and yet there's absolutely no loyalty to domestic brands here... 
  Ther rover 75 is just about the most beautiful sedan I've ever seen and 
yet they're always just about going out of business...

Nissan had the Z.... that was a great car!

Mitsubishi has a great line-up of cars actually...  I love the Galant VR4... 
I actually like Mitsubishi's line-up over VW's...  VW's are just too round 
for me these days...

I just mentioned these two because I really have nothing against Asian 
manufacturers...  Just against Honda...  Although the NSX is a sharp car now 
that i think of it...

I degress...
