The mounting bolts for the Euro bumpers are not the same as the "US"
bumpers.  Hopefully you didn't try to force them in!!  They are not a
standard SAE thread, so the old hardware store is out...

Here's what my 1997 Autotech receipt calls them:  M12x1.75x30 10.9

They were only $2.00 each + shipping, but you may be able to find them
cheaper through somebody like McMaster-Carr or another industrial supply
source.
