I am the only hungarian on the list - I think - so I have to react to
this.
In the hungarian cuisine there is two main kind of pepper used:
the hot pepper and the delicate paprika. 

The pepper and tomato stew called `letcho', maybe you call it Leche.
Other famous hungarian dish is the goulash soup.
Both can be made using hot paprika and/or sweet paprika.
(I personally don't like the hot version)

I feel like eating ;-)
