Re: 16v distributor?




I have rebuilt them before and yes; the seal is available. I special ordered 
them from a stealership in Canada and they ordered them from Germany. They 
are about 18$. I no longer work for the dude who has them in stock. If you

to is Dean. Tell him I sent you and he will know what you're talking about.

As to the procedure for disassembly: remove spring on dist. drive point, use 
punch to remove dowel holding drive plate to the shaft, remove fiber washers 
etc and stack in order of removal, remove shutter wheel inside dist., remove 
serrated washer under shutter wheel very carefully, remove seal under 
serrated washer. Installation is reverse of removal. Dont forget to put some 
grease on the sealing surface of the new seal. HTH
