part needed

well the G60 engine and tranny is now in my 81s. time to
scrounge up all the little parts and figure just how much
of my core support i have to cut out to fit my radiator.

anyways the point. I need the threaded rod/pipe found on
the vw oil filter housing. I need a short one found on
the housings without the dog-house oil cooler. I have like
2 from the oil cooler type they are obviously too long.
anyone have one lying around for sale? is it possible to
take one of my longer ones and get a machine shop to cut it in half and continue
the threads? or a place i can just buy a
new one? I used the one that came with my oil cooler kit to
attach the oil line adapter to the filter housing, now I
have nothing to attach the oil filter to the other housing.
