Idle rough while engine is cold

My idle has been getting rough the past couple of days
at start-up and while engine is still cold. I know
there are probably a few dozen things that could be
going wrong, but what should be some of my first
things to look at? 
The weather has not changed so that's not a factor. I
was idling smooth at around 1050 to 1150 RPM, but now
while the engine is cold it will fluctuate between
800-1150RPM in a spastic rapid succession. When the
engine warms up about five minutes or so later the
idle is fine.
