RE: Self adjusting clutch cable?



The only tricks involved with changing to a manual cable are routing it
under the air intake boot insead of over. Other than that its a direct fit.
Much better pedal feel than the the self adjuster too.

Yes,
you can use the manual cable, with some tricks.  I prefer the self-adjusting
cable, as I've never had any problems with mine.  I think that the reason
why
so many have problems is that they're really expensive, so they don't get
replaced until they're 10 years old and have failed.  AFAIK, all A3 and the
nicer A2 came with the self-adjusting cable.
