non-roc (2.0l block, digifant?)

sorry for the non-roc post, but a friend of mine is considering putting a
2.0l 8v bottom end in his 89 jetta......but i have 2 concerns with him
doing it....first off, is the digifant injection ok to do this with?
(anyone done this before and achieved good results?) The second concern is
that the car is an automatic....i know i cant expect miracles with this
type of setup, but he is just looking to upgrade his car a bit, and put a
lower mileage block in the car
is it worth it?
