traffic encounter

So I'm cruising down PCH heading home from work today.. guy in a pickup in
front and to the right of me motions to me to pull alongside and roll down
the window.  Says "I've got a 50mm intake for that thing I can sell you!  I
blew up my 16V motor and need to get rid of it.  I'd like to get what I paid
for it out of it, but I know I never will."  Hmm, this is interesting.  I
want to get one eventually, like when I someday get a cam upgrade and some
head work.  "So how much is that?" I ask.  "$800".  Ouch.  I tell him I
can get one from "connections" for about $400.  Says that might work, then
gives me his phone number and says to call if I'm interested.  Says it's the 
complete gig, upper and lower, and has been de-burred and is ready to rock.

So is this a deal or what?  Anyone else in SoCal wanna jump on it??  I'm
really not ready to drop another $400 into the car right now after what I've
just done to it..  :0
