I have these same Jetta Recaros in my car.  They fit great, and are a little
taller than the original seats, but being just shy of 6 feet, they are still
no problem.  a little tricky with a helmet on, but still okay, i just lean
back a bit more.

  I bought them off John VanVuren, he had already modified them to fit in a
roc i think.  basically the motor is disconnected and they are sitting as
low as physically possible.

  they will fit as long as you're not over 6 feet tall.
