Depends on what year. The pre-'85 or so cars were 2.1L motors with 100bhp.
In '85 ish they switched to a 2.2L but the power stayed the same. Notably,
however, the Syncro was introduced, which had the better intake and
exhaust manifolds from the 4000Q and therefore made 115bhp instead. Remove
the cat and the center muffler and this jumps to about 125 - 130bhp,
especially noticeable at high rpms. The stock downpipe and 2.25" exhaust
are as good as it gets until you go turbo : )
