pdl question

  after putting all the actuators, hoses, wires, and pump into scirocco,
in finally found a place to plug 'em in, but i'm wondering if it's
correct. there was a wire from the harness that had a red/white wire
with a slot connector that, in turn, had a red wire coming off if it
(with a slot connector). i plugged the red wire into the left side of
the fuse block (where another red connector was plugged in) and the pump
then got power. should the red/white wire be plugged in somewhere,
though? the pdl's came from an '84 wolfs and went into an '86 8v, if it
matters. also, when i was locking and unlocking, the passenger side lock
would sometimes go up-down-up (upon unlocking) and down-up-down (upon
locking) while it will lock and unlock, something's not quite right
here. new actuator for the driver side? bad wire somehwere? thanx.
