Did you get the non p/s tie rods when you 'rebuilt'
the rack?  

The tie rods for power cars are different lengths, and
the steering gears are different lengths also.  I
think the drivers side is shorter for PS than non. 
The steering knuckles are exactly the same.

You need a new rod - $18 from potterman.
